ya, get a linksys. it provides seamless sharing, you won't know, and neither will the cable company. see, what they want you to do is give each computer its own address, and pay for the use of two computers. what the router does is it acts like one computer, and allows anything "behind" it (on your side of the network (in your house)) to get internet access via it.
