Some of my best online correspondance is done with people in Australia and I know that they are completely enthused about cars over there. They don't dick around much with econoboxes, those things flop because they are too weak and pathetic. An aussie wants pure brute strength, something that he can go brag to the mates about and kick every blokes *** on the dragway and racetrack. For him, only the V8 can accomplish this. So the automanufacturers over there (and they have some very good ones like Holden) have a lot of good performance V8 cars to offer. I'm talking about cars like the Holden Commodore VT which has 295hp STOCK from the factory and with a blower can produce over 360hp. And these things cost about 20k (AUD) which is only $10000 USD. As you can see, the market knows that aussies like their performance and they like it cheap.

I wish that the NA automanufacturers weren't so dickless when it came to power in their cars. I feel like slapping them.
