![]() PG, Actually, the loss of a brand name recognition is a bad thing. It means when people ask for your companies product, they may receive a competitors product, or not recognize that your product is actually a brand name. Another example of this is laminate, which is very often referred to as "formica." When people shop for "formica" they think of it as a product, not a brand name so they really don't care if they buy the "Formica" brand, or "WilsonArt" or something else.
