I ran mine hard until 75-80k miles then added a s/c and ran that(hard) until it was just over 100k miles and it still didn't burn oil(on engine stand now). If you're burning oil at 56k then all I can wonder is... what kinda shape is the car itself in? Its hard to put a price on something you've never seen.
