Well most 86s stock went anywhere from 15.5 to 14.8, and can be troublesome to any inexperieced driver. But with proper respect they can be a lot of fun too.

They can be built up the same as any 87+ fox body, so if you want to mod the car, and like the look of them, then why not get one. Stock for stock tho, the 87+ are faster.
