If you have been around V8 Stangs and ridden in them alot, you may have gained the respect that you need to drive one safely. My first car was an 84 LX 5.0 (which ran 15.7@87 in the 1/4 bone stock with an AOD, so I would say high-14s is definitely possible with an 86 5 speed). I never wrecked it from driving too fast, but I did loop it once in the rain...
