![]() NoSlow, you may not believe this, but back around '67 or 68, I actually got to drive my brother in law's '66 A.C. Cobra 289 4 speed, original aluminum body and all. Only for about 30 minutes. I smoked them a couple of times in 1 st and 2 nd, no real work out.
I also drove his '67 Ferrari 330 GT, a front engine V-12. It was quick but he was in the car so only moderate poking was acceptable. The last fast car I drove was my son's father in law's C5 '00 Vette. It was pretty fast and really sweet. Would break the tires loose in 1 st or 2 nd at will. Couldn't do that much as he was in the car with me and it's his baby. Soon, when I get my new heads, I hope to be in that league.
