That's weird. I'd think a GTS would cost less to insure. A GTS is basically a stripped down GT. It's kinda like the difference between a Fox body GT and LX. Same motor, less frills. My friend's dad used to have one and it had a 5.0L (it was a '95) but no foglights, spoiler, etc.
