my 95 did that and i think its a sound that your clutch quadrant makes when rotating. your car has a self adjusting clutch. this is what i would do: lift up on the clutch pedal firmly but don't manhandle it either. then press down on the pedal and it should click if your clutch needed an adjustment (thats what this procedure is). if not then i wouldn't worry about it. like i said my 95 did that for a long time and it never bothered me or gave me any trouble.
