I've had both and wouldn't say one is better than the other. But, I like the Pro 5.0 better. Here's a breakdown...
Tri-ax Pros: adjustable height, shifter is closer to you, cool name, pretty color ![]() Tri-ax Cons: Notchy feel, more gear noise. Pro 5.0 Pros: shortest throw, good feel, no noise, solid construction. Pr 5.0 Cons: shortest throw(you have to reach for 5th) In order to have the best of both world's, some people are using the Pro 5.0 base with the Tri-ax handle. This way you can have the feel of the Pro 5.0 with the stick a little longer and closer to you. Whichever you choose will feel 100% better than the stock shifter. ------------------ T-Bones 1997 Cobra Wht/blk, Pro 5.0,FRPP 4.10's, aluminum driveshaft, FRPP throttle body, C&L 80mm MAF, K&N, Steeda U/D pulleys, Steeda timing adjuster, Flowmasters, s/f connectors, FRPP pro springs, BBK caster/cambers. |
