King Snake- It is true about X-pipes only work at their full potential w/ a straight through muffler. This is a fact. Remember that the X-pipe was designed as a NASCAR piece, so dealing w/ something such as a chambered of baffled muffler wasn't even existant as part of the design. As far as H-pipe, i am not sure whether they work better w/ a chambered or straight through muffler. I have heard they work better w/ the chambered, but as far as that being fact, I'm don't know.
