It will flow much faster at startup especially when cold and gives the exact same protection as 5w30 and 10w30 at operating temperature. Most wear occurs at startup so using this viscosity oil is a wise decision. You may also get a slight increase in MPG. I'm suprised that car makers haven't started engines to use this weight.
