What makes them noisier is the bushings. Stock uses soft rubber bushings which dampen the sound and aftermarket uses either urathane or solid steel/aluminum (like mine) which tranfers all the noise inside the car. Of course the benifit is that it also transfers the power to the ground instead of being absorbed by the stock bushings.
