I just put a flexalite unit in my 90 Notch to replace the totally cracked plastic stock fan. I did not notice a drastic noise increase, or at the least it did not stick out as objectional, but to be fair, the car has not been run that much. I am assuming everyone is getting the proper reverse rotation fans ??
