They said that was the weight w/ a driver and full tank of gas when weighed on the digital scale at Raceway Park (Englishtown, NJ.) They claimed they couldn't believe it either, and weighed it again. But then he went on to explain how it could get the extra weight.
Minus him and the gas, the car was still 250#'s heavier then a normal GT. Here's how he put the extra weight (being generous in his words): 15 lbs for bigger anti roll bars 20 lbs for special seats 10 lbs per wheel = 40 lbs 40 lbs for intake over GT plastic Subframes, rocker sills, different exhaust, pedal pads, fuel door. He then goes to say that he still thinks its hard that those items added 250 lbs. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting that it was that heavy. |
