Im not sure about a re-designed tranny for 2001 but i do know ford went with a Tremec tranny for 99 and above 5-speeds.
i've had ford 5-speeds in the past and none made as much gear noise as my 99 i have now.Plus after countless visits to the dealer i still have a rattle in the dam tranny at idle. If the latest 5-speeds are re-desigd i'm going back to demand one of those under warranty. later. ----------------------- 99 gt Bassani x , magnaflows, nitto DR best et..13.89 @ 100 mph |
