I actually didn't know what the record was anymore. I've always been a balance sound type of guy so I didn't follow the records of "the noise guys".

But I went and looked it up to find out. The best I could find was the overall spl record is 174.7 db by John Henry. The article above lists Witherspoon as a record holder. This is true, he holds the record in the extreme 1-2 class with a 172.3 db. This was actually set on june 7th of this year when he broke his previous record.
