if you dont want any problems then do it like this
run 1/0 GA welding cable from the battery to the starter soiloniod..run 4 gauge welding cable from the Alternator to the starter soilniod also(only if your running a 3G alt) it might be a wise deseicion to run a dedticated 4 gauge wire up to the front for the computer and sensor grounds besides running a piece of 1/0 GA to the floor by the battery..that way there will be ground interferance and the computer will run perfect.. i havent had problem without running a seperate ground upfront but i have heard some people do have problems with compters without doing this..
