Yep, I tried them a few years ago. They were better than your standard street radial but I had a hard time hooking with them at the track. Played around with tire pressure and launch RPM's for quite some time. You really need to play around with the suspension to get them to hook good. I think the best 60 ft I could manage with them was like 2.0 or 2.1. With slicks 1.6 or 1.7 were more common.
IMHO they are great if you are looking for a tire you can drive to the track and race, then drive home without changing tires. But, they are terrible in the rain and for max ET's you can't beat the real deal, try some slicks. |
