is the spedometer working? when my cable burnt, i had to take the dash apart and run the cable through the firewall to the transmission, i wonder if it makes a difference, my car has a mechanical spedo, there arent any computers in my car since its caurberated, but from what i remember, the cable plugged in to the guage and there wasnt any slack really to play with, i dont remember any clip or anything, but i got the cable from a local ford dealership, im sure they would know exactly what you are talking about and have the pieces if you need them, i dont relaly know if i can help you from here, sorry, good luck though.
