![]() All Supras have come with inline 6's. The 1st and 2nd gens did share a platform with the Celica but there was always a difference between the two(in the US at least). The 1st gens were called Supras(it said Celica Supra on the badges but the back of the car had Supra in big lettering) and had a 2.8 liter single cam inline 6(5m-e). The 2nd gen(like mine) also had the Celica Supra badges and came with a 2.8 liter dohc inline 6(5m-ge.....g meaning dohc). The 3rd gen Supra had it's own platform and came with either a NA 3.0 inline 6(7m-ge) or a turbo 3.0 inline 6(7m-gte.....guess what the t means). 4th gen Supras had either a NA 3.0 inline 6(2jz-ge) or the beastly 2jz-gte.
