The durability issues with LS1's are the crappy 10 bolt, the clutch, and pushrods that love to bend.
The one thing I do love about my Mustang is the cheap cost to fix and mod. A good clutch alone for an LS1 is like 700 bucks. Around 1200-1300.oo after you pay the shop to do it. Like anything, If you race it, you WILL break it.
