Awesome Deal on 4.6L 4V drivetrain! How do I know....

I found a deal on a 96 Cobra Engine, Trans, H-pipe, and all electronics for $2500.

He says the car slid into a pole and is totaled. The deal sounds killer, how do I check this motor out before purchase?!

That sounds killer, Sky!! I don't know enough about them to tell you anything other than the basics... compression, vacuum at idle, etc.

id make sure you get the wiring harness with it

it sure would make a nice combo to put in a stripped fox coupe. probably go mid-low12's on motor alone. then see what it'd do with an S-trim

dont know what to tell you about checking it out though. maybe ask the guys over in the modular forum

Yeah I found it in an add and have been talking to the guy for the past week.

It will be a huge streach to afford it, but I know im gettin a great deal if it is in decent shape. I could easily sell the parts off.

I was thinking it could go in an older stang, or a lincoln or something of that nature.

My uncle used to have a Pinto. It was sweet. Had some huge snow tires on the back.....a crappy paint job by my dad.....light blue....ugly as hell....good candidate for the mod motor though......

I can't seem to get enough money together.

******, the guy says it has 50800 miles, tranny, driveshaft, exhaust to the Hpipe, wiring harness, computer, all electronics, and the full engine.
