Try this test:

Take it out on an empty road. Stop, rev it up high, pop the clutch and floor that sucker. After the burnout, go back and check the road. Two black stripes means your Traction-Lok is working, one stripe means it isn't and is probably in need of a rebuild. They don't last forever but can be repacked and adjusted for a reasonable price.
