Why of course, Grasshopper.
Think of the diagnostic connector as a house. It has four windows downstairs and two widows upstairs. Think of the single STI wire that accompanies the "house" as the "garage". You want to use a jumper (a paperclip works well) to connect the upstairs, right side window with the garage. Then sit in the car and turn the key on. The MIL will flash and flicker a few times. Then it will start flashing with a rhythm. Count the flashes. Write the numbers down. Continue this until there is a 6 second break, followed by one flash, and another 6 second pause. That means it's done. THEN... perform the KOER test. Start the engine, and shut it off. Then start it again, with the jumper in place, and the ECM will start the running self test. Watch the MIL, because about 2/3rds of the way through the test, it will flash once, and that is your cue to rev the engine at WOT for 1 second. After that, do the same as before . Take care, -Chris
