![]() Well i have to be heard on this, elevation might play a role in this, but if anyone remebers my old sig, I had at one time: just removed silencer, box with knN, all cat cvters, 3cbr mufflers, aluminum d/s, going 14.1's.
with electric fan and swaybar removal, i nailed a 13.91 on little tires in sig with a 2.0 60', i could have made a 13.80 easily i know, now with my h-pipe and SFC's, and my friends e,t, streets, i ran 13.6 on a very humid night, and the tires were to low psi bogging, with more air in them i could have cut a 1.7 and seen 13,4 but unit i dont believe your car will trap more than 100mph, maybe 99, but being you can stay in 3rd you will be close, but with stock h-pipe i dont see it happening, plus the stock cluch fan really drags a stang down on the topend. your looking at g-teck maybe.

![]() Well bone stock except a Flowmaster American Thunder cat back, I went 14.7 @ 95 or so if I remember correctly, that was with a 5spd and 2.73 gears on BFG's COMP TA's 245/45/16ZR tires, I don't remember the exact 60ft but it was 2.0, and I have no idea what the light was.
I agree with poopstang..A LOT IS IN THE DRIVER. Blownpony91- Where at in MD are you? Use to live in MD but moved to get away from all the emissions bull, now I'm right over the MD/PA line.

![]() Muscle Mustangs and fast fords did an article a few years ago about this exact topic. the article was all naturalally aspirated, and while some of them were extreme engines, a few of them were mostly stock.
the one that comes to memory was an 87 LX. stripped, slicks, 5 speed, weighing 2400 lbs, launching at some oddball rpm, something like 5000 rpm, ran a low 12 at something like 105. i forget exactly what the specs were. i will try and find the article and get back to you. but it is veeeeery possible. it is all DRIVER and WEIGHT.

![]() It's weird how the trap speeds and ETs differ.
Rick 91GT trapped a mile per hour faster than me, but with a six-tenths higher ET...guess that means he had better top-end but I got a better launch?

I usually race at 75/80 or Mason Dixion and did hit Cecil County a few times last year as well. I won both of the Ford Shootouts last year at 75/80.

![]() Well, I never ran with 2.73's, my car came with a 3.08.
But, the "stockest" I ran it was with a short belt and a race crank pulley, but that was with slicks and it went 13.40, I forget the mph.

![]() I don't consider gears and exhaust stock. I have had 4 mustangs and i think i'm an ok driver with 15 years of street racing experience. and i can say that i have NEVER run mid 13's on a bone stock mustang even with slicks and a good launch. Alot of blood sweat and tears went into all of my decent sprints.

![]() Rick, how do you stand corrected? now talking about weight, I could have dropped my spare, and my smog pump, and maybe dropped an extra tenth? so with e.t. streets, and before all of the mods in my sig(wow my `oh so powerful mods) i could have gone 13.8's. It has alot to do with driving, im still using a stock shifter too, On my 13.9 run i was launching at idle, thats all my 225/60's would take, i'll admit, i only ran that once on street tires, and the electric fan and swaybar removal isnt stock, but I believe all stangs should have came with electric fans.
![]() Then again i see guys running stock fox gt's that can't break outta the 15's, even with gears and free mods.....

![]() I see that at the track all the time you have some good running cars and some bad, I still feel a lot is in the driver and I guess it depends what day of the week that motor was put together.
At the track I race guys with blower, N2O, and strokers and beat them all day long, they always scream cheater and that I have a stroker, they can't seam to get it through their thick skulls that you ca have a good running NA 302, it really shocks them to see it bring the wheels off the ground ![]() Wait till this season ![]() ![]()

![]() The last post i put in here was with an H pipe and K&N. This will give you an idea of what a totally stock stang will run. This was when i first got it. Stock H pipe and no K&N. Just bumped up timing And thats it. On slicks. 14.12 @ 96. On radials. 14.41 @ 94. Of course this is a coupe so its a little lighter than a GT or Hatchback.
