A question about 94-95 tailights AND rear brake lines..i think.
There was a major rattling occuring from the rear of my car. Only would happen through turns and wet weather. Well, I found it. Its this hard black line thats coming from my rear brakes and it runs to the front. It sits in this ring behind the wheel. But its loose in the ring. I looked at the other side and I see the same thing, only the brake line is welded, glued, or plastered on the inside of the ring(to prevent the rattling). What could I do to the other side to make it stick to the ring like the opposite side?
Now the tailights. My tailight covers(the horizontal black strips, not the 3 vertical ones that are on 96+) are fading. I have tried those black back lotions you can put on yor car's trim, but it doesn't last long at all. So, where can I get some new tailight covers(stock ones)? Or better yet, do you think I can paint them? Or would it come out lousy..? ------------------ 94' Stang GT Convertible --Cobra upper&lower, GT-40Y Turbo Swirl aluminum heads, Mac cold air w/K&N, BBK equal length shorties, BBK offroad H-pipe, American Thunder cat-back, BBK T/B 65mm, 24lb injectors, Pro-77mm MAM, pulleys, aluminum driveshaft, 3.55s, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, adjustable fuel regulator, Steeda strut tower and subframes, 1.7 RRs 13.8@100 MPH It's about time. I wrapped an old rag around the cable and jammed it back into the cable clamp - works for now...at least the noise is gone.
I think if you tape up the lenses, use some kind of platic safe stripper/scuffer, and repaint, it should come out fine. Or, take them to a body shop and have them redone... |

I know it sounds ghetto but you could zip tie it tight to the existing ring, and I would bring the taillights to a piant shop, I'm sure they could do them for you.
