Post BBK TB Whistling + "my old flooding problem"

I know I have heard lots of people say that the BBK/Edelbrock TB whistles, but D@MN!!!! Is it really suppost to be that loud?? I mean it sounds like someone who is decent at whistling is under my hood whistling as loud as they can..Is this ok???

To those commenting on my flooding problem after i get done driving it..i think i thought of something...my mass air meter is calibrated for 19lb injectors...but I am running 30lb injectors..could this be causing this flooding problem..thanks

Yeah, mine sounds like an airliner coming in for a landing. I think it is kinda cool...it seems to be louder on hotter days.

Is this whistling caused by air passing the plate??

Cool

Mine too......I was kind of nervous when I first heard it, but I've gotte used to it. It sounds kind of cool, but people think I've got a blower (and that part of it's not too cool - especially since I don't have 1 yet).

yes its caused by air passing the small idle hole in the plate, BBK drills them at an angle and thats what causes it, ever blow on the mouth of a beer bottle at an angle and get a whistle? same thing

Get the 30lb sampling tube for your meter. The Vortech meter is actually made by C&L Performance. They sell the tubes for around 26 dollars and charge like a dollar to ship it.

With the confusion of my computer not knowing what size injectors I am using, is it worth my time to keep messing with my Adjustable fuel regulator until i get my new mass air meter calibrated for 30lb injectors??
