Dynoed my car today.

I tested my car today on a Dynojet at White Racing in Warren, Michigan. The only tuning I tried was to run my base timing @ 35 degrees without a spout, compared to the normal 16 or so degrees of computer controlled advance.

The results?

309.6 RWHP and 310.7 FT-LBS.

Peak power came in at a whopping 5700 rpm, while peak torque hit 310 lbs @ around 3500 rpm and stayed nice and flat until 5000 rpm where it started to taper off.

This new Holley intake is awesome! My old GT-40 with the ported lower peaked at 5000 rpm, then fell of quickly after that. The Holley keeps pulling hard after that, and makes more torque for a longer period of time.

I'm sure that there is another 10-20 hp in tuning and a custom chip, but that wil have to wait until next season.

I also did not test with nitrous. When swapping intakes I lost my nitrous #67 jet, and did not want to buy the new jet, plus 40 bucks for a nitrous fill, just to make a couple dyno pulls. Usually the 150 dry shot gives you 130 rwhp and 130-150 lbs of torque, so 440 rwhp and 450 ft-lb's should be about where I am at.

Correcting for a 15 percent drivetrain loss that is 356 horsepower and 357.3 ft-lbs of torque. Not too bad for an engine that I put together in my basement!!!!
