I'd be really interested to see how high bidding goes on this. The cars won't even go into production until late Feb/early Mar. They, in fact, do not have this car. One would be bidding on a car that would need to be ordered anyway (they started taking orders a few weeks ago). The "extremely limited" description is somewhat deceiving, they will likely make 6000+ of these cars and as of right now they have no limit. They should have a sticker just over $27k plus $550 for the Mach460 (the only priced option)

The bad part, people will likely believe this dealer has this car ready to ship.

Frankly, I'd much rather purchase the Cobra Convertible personally. The only mod it needs is a supercharger and an exhaust kit. The DOHC 4.6L makes deadly power with boost...

The Bullits have an aluminum intake manifold with twin throttle body and mufflers (275hp). Other than that, the performance perks are lowering springs, custom valved Tokicos (non-adjustable), and good front brakes.

I just noticed something.

Read very carefully, it says titled to a Bullit Mustang. I was talking with someone from Corral and he called the dealer. He said this just entitles you to the car, you still have to pay the sticker value, if he gets one!!!

RIP-OFF

Hmmmm... I've decided with no real performance benefit to it, you couldn't pay me to buy a "Bullit." Even the spelling is dumb. I wonder how long Ford had to use their think tank to come up with the dumbest name ever to grace a Mustang?

I'd agree with the Cobra being a far superior choice, and it even comes with a cool name.

Oh, I don't have a link to it, but there is a '00 Cobra R for sale on classifieds2000.com. It was listed at $70,000, and I think it was in Oregon.

Received the following from the Ford dealer offering the Bullit Stang on ebay:

'The latest word we have is early March for start of production, so I would
say early April for delivery to dealers, but that is only an educated guess.
I have locked up an allocation for this car and WILL be able to deliver it
to the top bidder. This is a great limited edition Mustang and I am happy to
be able to offer it.

Some people are just insane!

If you look at his other auctions, he has a 2002 Thunderbird to.

The seller updated his auction.
It states "I am not playing the bid plus MSRP game. What you bid is what yoiu pay! The only things not included are your state tax/tag/title fees."

I think the car is pretty sweet, especially the interior. But, the Cobra would still probably be my choice. As said before, just throw a blower on it and you are ready to rock!!

I wouldn't buy this car just because of that cheesy gas cover. What's up with that?

I agree with cobra 01. Although the off color--metal--gas cover speaks of racing, it seems something a ricer would do. Isn't it standard on the newer eclipse?

unit wondered where the name came from, and it isn't somethign ford made up, it was a '70s (I think) movie called Bullit with Steve McQueen. It has a very nice chase seen through San Fran.

I guess I don't really care where the name came from. It's fricken dumb.

The Mustang Bullit. Why not just announce to the world American cars are dumb. They can't even spell their models right. It sounds like total **** . I don't know like some sort of chew, not a car. My god, it get's dumber sounding every time I think about it. They have names like the Boss, and the Mach that they could choose to ressurect, but no, they choose some movie title from the 70's or something. Jeez... Time doesn't treat some names quite as well as others. Why not bring back the Galaxie, or the Falcon, or maybe the Fairlane? Cripes.
