Thumbs down It's not a beautiful day in the neightborhood today

My dad drags me out of bed this morning at 7am to show me my car. Driver's side window is smashed like bread crumbs, conv. back glass is basically sitting my back seat looking like a Checker's board, my top is ripped like Romane lettuce and my tires have a slash the length of my local 1/4 mi drag stip in all 4 of them.

First thing my dad asks me is, "you must have beat the wrong person at a stop light."

Couldn't think of anyone I raced, let anyone who could have followed me home.

So anyways, I called the sherrif's dept. and they gave me a case number but WOULDN'T come out for fingerprints. Give me a break. My car is newly waxed and not a finger print on it when I got in last night. Oh well.

So we call the claim in and they tow my darlin' off to my body shop to be stored until Monday.

I'm a friendly guy and have no enimies, that I can think of

But I think it was just a random act of violence.

The ironic thing is, my mom's $40k Volvo was right in front of me on the driveway - no harm done.

So when I get my car back, it's getting treated to a new Pioneer headunit w/ a DFS alarm for theft deterent and a nice car cover.

So anyways, how was ya'lls day?

Maybe I should also add my current 'apperance' items to my sig. What do you think, eh?

(Forgive me; I'm trying to keep from going crazy here)

That sucks man! When i had my '91 LX some peckerhead took a huge rock and threw it though my driver's side window and it ended up in the passanger's seat. Random act of vandalism. And just like you, my parents had better cars parked behind me. Hopefully that alarm will help. After this happened my dad got one of those motion sensative lights that would shine brightly on the driveway and nothing ever happened again after that. At least you have insurance to cover it though. Maybe someone mistook your car for someone else's?

What a nightmare! I CANT IMAGINE what it would be like to wake up to something like that. I think that sucks that the police would do ANYTHING about it..especially getting fingerprints. That's your tax money hard at work!! I feel for you. I hope you find out who did it. And when you do, bring them to Texas, you know they like Capitol Punnishment!!

Thanks guys for your support. It means a lot to me to know I can vent on here and know I have ya'lls support.

Meanwhile nobody has come forward. I told a couple of close friends to be on the lookout. If we find out who it was, they will definitly get ripped a new naustral.

I guess the only good that comes from this is that I get a new top and back window,

Thanks guys

THIS IS FRIGGEN REDICULOUS!! What is it with these disrespectful punk a$$ people now a days!? If someone ever did that to me the police would be notified, and then a rather large group of people armed with pretty violent tempers would go trolling! Sorry to hear about this, really sucks!

That really sucks that someone would do that to your car. I hope you find out who did it and give them what they deserve.
Just to let you know the Pioneer DFS alarm isn't really an alarm. DFS stands for Detachable Face System, the head unit beeps at you when you turn off the car as a reminder to remove the face.

Yeah my neighbors are on the lookout for any suspicious behavior. But at the same time, we're all very afraid for our cars at night now.

You are right about the DFS alarm, KidNotch4793. But over the last couple of years they have incorporated the 'plus' feature that enables starter kill, the ability to add different sensors like shock, glass, hood and trunk monitors that can all be piggybacked. I like the idea of it better than a regular Viper or Clifford because it puts out around 200db of straight line high tone noise when the car is tampered with. And it works because blueneonman1 has the system and you can't stand the noise for 10sec or more before your ears start to bleed. Plus I need a new head unit.
