![]() So what is the cause of this? I never really push it to 5000 rpm too often, but Id like to know that I could if I ever wanted to without any problems. Stock cam, 1.7rollers, gt40p's,adj fpr. The following are all new.
plugs wires ign module distributor cap rotor coil any suggestions? It isnt really a big problem since I usually stay below 5g's but still dont like it. |

![]() What ignition module to you have? What tach are you using? If it's stock tach, the 5000 you're seeing may actually be anywhere from 4800 to like 6400. I've seen stock tachs that are that far off. If your tach happens to be off and your ignition mod has a rev limiter, there you have it. I'd get an aftermarket tach to check and see how accurate the stock tach is and if it's still missing at 5000 check to see if the ign mod has a rev limiter. Sometimes you can change where they're set.
