Thumbs up NEW RELEASE: Burns the classic version of Planet of the Apes

Not too bad of a movie, all in all!! But if one wanted to compare it to the classic flick, it's far advanced. Sure with completely new technological special effects toys, and so on, new films have an advantage, but I'm just speaking of details, such as the way the apes behave and walk; they actually represent in this film!! Also, trying to re-make a movie is very difficult and often boring because you know what to expect around every corner; in this new release, the story line is quite different and somewhat intriguing in the end (No, I won't spoil it). I was also surprised by the performance of M. Wahlberg; a different face in action, rather than the monotonous ones, might have been dicovered! I especially liked the constant comparisons, paradoxes, and analogies in reference to the early slave trade and the treatment of certain "lab" animals. It's kind of like, "Here, have some of your own medicine..." Overall, I thought the movie was one of the 'better' films I have seen all summer, despite some minor action scenes that I might have directed differently. But then, I am not a director, just you're every-day hard-core stang-banger!!
