![]() If you haven't seen the movie and want to DONT READ ON!!! This will spoil it for you!!!
Has anyone seen JP3? Tony and I saw it last night and man did it stink! They brought back old characters so that was cool. But other than that it was dumb. Plain and simple: A waste of 16 dollars! OK, I figured most of the movie out but a lot of it just didn't make any sense! First of all: The dinosaurs evolved into super smart dinosaurs. So you're telling me that these animals evolved THAT MUCH in a couple of years?!?!? Second: They had a NEW dinosaur. They never even said what he was or were he came from. Third: There's NO WAY in hell that little boy could have survived for 8 weeks alone!!!! COME ON! OK OK I know... It's just a movie. Well, I think that they could have at least kept the movies all accurate!!! OK, JP1: The rapitors hunted in 3's. Like a pack or herd. JP3: They were like one big happy intellegant family! One more problem: Dr. Grant calls for help and the lady sends the Navy? How the HELL did the Navy get there so fast? Those boats aren't supersonic fast. Last but not least... where the hell were those teradactals going at the end of the movie when the people were rescued? "To find a new nesting site" Excuse me but LAME. (Sorry I'm a little disgruntled about the whole thing) Anyone agree? Disagree? ![]() ------------------ Jodi AKA PonyGirl Red 68 GT Fastback and Black 99 GT Coupe "Not your average Mustangs..." ![]() Well they did say what that new dino was in the beginning when Dr. Grant had that huge tooth. They just never stated where it came from. I looked like they were breeding raptors on that island, not those.
I thought they should have returned to the orginal island, it's not gone, plus I do not theink the dinos are dead at ALL. They never (from the first JP) put THAT THING into effect... you know where the dinos whould if they did not get a certain chemical from us. I say no JP movie will be as good as the first, because the first had magic and awe to it but it also had fear mixed in. That's hard to do again. |

![]() YES there were bits that didn't make sense. weren't followed up on, or were just not thought out well. It's a movie. The Raptors Started OUT that smart, but they were not experienced in the first movies. By now, they've been living and learning for however long Site B has been shut down. More than long enough to make up their language and develop some hunting tricks. The Spino was.. Interesting. Where DID he come from. And WHY was he so much larger than any Spino remains ever found? (Probably the same reason the Velociraptors are portrayed as human sized) I still have one unanswered question from JP2 Lost World. WHAT ate the Crew of that ship that held the T-Rex? And Where did it/they GO????? (maybe the same thing that ate the guys on the Parasailing boat?) |

Nobody's FEEDING them Lysine anymore. Problem is, lots of the plants on the island were lysine rich. And Dr. Grant DID say that it was a Spinosaurus. We just don't know WHY he wasn't on the Ingen Lists.. |

![]() I thought it was crap. I didn't pay(i never have to pay for movies) and it was still not worth it. I devised a new plot for this film.
Same begining as before except the plane crashes and every one gets eaten. It should have been 10 minutes long. The End. DAMN i wanted to reach in and strangle that stupid women! I don't think i was ever actually mad at a movie, but her running around and screaming like some ******* idiot pissed me off. She should have been eaten right infront of every one else. They probably would have been grateful. Jonathan Light Em Up!! ![]() ------------------ My 87 GT....Marbles ![]() AIM: Marbles87Fox Light Em Up!!! ![]() |

![]() Yea,
I would say that running away screaming at the top of your lungs with your arms flailing around would be a bad thing to do in front of a hungry predator... Which brings up the question, just how many people would make a full meal for a T.REX anyway? Gotta be more than one.... ![]() Which brings up another idea.... If we can somehow breed dinosaurs in real life, could you imagine "Survivor: Jurassic Park"? The winner would be the last one alive.... ![]() that is my problem how did the navy get there first when everyone knows the army is the best. When it comes down to it the army is the only military branch that can handle a stiuation. J/k If u guys and gals didn't know by know I am in the army and about to be an SGT.

Sounds good to me...oh yeah, one problem: There's a little thing known as instinct! Velociraptors KNEW how to hunt since birth (JP:1) and if you caught the beginning of the movie, you must have gone to get some popcorn or something, you would know that via new scientific technology, the excavation team came to realize what they had not known before: The raptors instinctively (gosh there's that word again) communicated with a special resonant chamber. Here's the fun part; how come in JP:1 the head security game warden was killed by these awesome hunting tactics, with the head raptor "working it out"--NEVER ONCE MAKING THAT SAME HIGH-PITCHED COMMUNICATION SOUND they used now in JP:3!!! It's because the movie's point is to draw the same crowd and feed off the popularity of JP:1 (their wallets that is) without even a delicate consideration of the 'scientific data' that was in JP:1!! YES FOXTROT, it was a movie (great observation) And YES it was CRAP in it's redundant attempt to conclude on the species that have come to 'control' the island without using the concurrent ideas of JP:1. If you like to go to the movies completely engulfed in action without a care of intelligence, then this movie rocks. I, on the other-hand, prefer something to separate me from the other primate class. I read the original book; High expectations do tend to create a higher risk of great disappointment. By this I mean that the book was one of the best!!! No offense to you Foxtrot; Red had her opinion, you had yours, and now I have had mine. ------------------ Tony 1998 Cobra [This message has been edited by CobraFire98 (edited 07-20-2001).] |

![]() ![]() Seriously though, the jurassic park books, by Michael Crichton, are way better than any of those movies could ever hope to be. The books are 10x better than than jp1 and jp2. |

![]() Yeah, the books are a lot better than the movies. Read the books and then you'll see that they cut the movies down (JP2 was almost nothing like the book). They should make a movie exactly like the book I think.

![]() Oh yeah, I though JP3 was a cool movie and in JP2 I think that the T-Rex ate those people on the boat and in the 3rd I think raptors got the parasailor boat drivers. The woman was the biggest moron out of all three (movies)!! Bring that megaphone or whatever and saying 'Eric' every second is like asking a raptor to eat you!! the whole thing was her fault for attracting the Spinosaurus that made them crash and be stuck there.

![]() Bringing the Marines in at the end was the smartest thing anyone did during all 3 movies. Finally they recognize the danger involved with those dinosaurs and send in something that can handle it. FYI the Navy can be anywhere in the world within 24 hours, and were probably much closer to the island when the call was made. You can see it's getting dark when the Professor made the call and it's in the morning/afternoon when the marines arive, so that's well within their reaction time.
The Spinosaurus is by no means a 'new' dinosuar. It's existance has been known about before WW2. Berlin had the worlds best preserved Spino skeleton but that was destroyed when the bombing started in the war. I have no idea how big it really is in real life though. Velociraptor is the wrong name for those man-sized 'raptor' like dinosaurs. In fact they are more likely dromeosaurs, just like raptors only man-sized. So Foxtrot is correct but I believe the movies used velociraptor because the name is cooler. If you don't believe me, a lot of this info is available on the jurrasic park website itself (they admitt their own mistakes) but the site has a shite design. For the movie's credit, I liked it much more than Lost World. |

![]() Personally I liked the movie. If you want accuracy go buy a book. If you want to relax and be entertained go see the movie.

![]() I held off on going to see this movie because of some of the comments here. I think I'll go see it after all, though, if it's got pretty good action.
It sounds like this movie is less of a science fiction movie than The Fast and The Furious and at least this one probably has better action. ![]() ------------------ 351W 89 Mustang GT Convertible |

Yeah its mostly (c)rap music, but I noticed something when I was looking at it: The photo on the back has been doctored. There are two cars racing, both of which are japanese. The one on the right appears to be a honda prelude. But somehow this prelude is peeling out its _back_ tires. |
