Tubular K-member, tubular A-arms, coil-overs, battery -> trunk, bye bye back seats, lighter front seats, sound deadening.

I want to keep AC and such, are there any other options to either remove weight, or move it back? Thanks. |

Removing weight is easy (sort'a). Just pull it off and throw it away

![]() No really. Determine how much you can afford to throw away. DO you want a completely gutted interior, probably not. Remove the stereo and speakers, maybe? When I removed the interior of my car (during rollcage installation) I put each piece on a scale: seats, carpet, sound-deadening, plastic pannels... Most everything came out very small, with the exception of under-the-carpet sound deadening. THAT was like 40#. Lightening the car with new pieces can get expensive. THe k-member and coilovers is a great investment. (I am doing that this winter). ------------------ Darius Rudis Roadracer: Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) My Mustang Page |

Its a street car, so I'm going to keep the stereo (hell-ov-a nice stock system) and such, but its getting more and more exotic as time goes by. The Griggs fairy just came today actually, hello 3 link (love that TA dif cover).

At some point (6 months probably) I'll probably go to the Griggs K-member, tubular A-arms, and turn my Tokicos into coil overs (which suposity works well). I'm just trying to figure out what else I can do to work on that hefty weight and nose heavy balance w/o losing too much of the street friendliness. Anyway, thanks. ------------------ AIM: Some97Snake |

You could possibly do new lightweight seats( I did that).

Or remove A/C (still to do). Or fiberglass hood (just did that). Or more Griggs pieces (doing that)... ![]() ------------------ Darius Rudis Roadracer: Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) My Mustang Page |

I'd hold off to see what the Griggs SLA is like... should be sweet, but it's supposed to have unique LCA's etc.
