Question Were there T-tops after 87 on stangs?

My wife and I were discussing this crazy looking mustang we saw that had 87-93 look's but it had t-tops. My wife wife say's that ford put t-tops on them in the early 90's. This was news to me but she seems pretty hell bent on the fact that she is right. Any way we both agree that this guy did his or had it done and the interior fits the body style. So I don't think he had converted an 80's whatever to a 90's whatever. I am willing to give her the benifit of doubt and check with you guy's. But I don't remember any t-tops from at least 89 on.

To the best of my knowledge, 1988 was the final year for the T-Top option on Mustangs.

I would assume - as you did - that the car you saw had the T-Tops custom-made, working from the original sunroof, which was available post-1988.

Saw an add the other day in MM&FF for T-top weather stripping up to '88, so I bet thats the end. Too bad, to. I'd love to see them bring T-tops back.

Technically 1988 was the last year. Only early 88's had T-tops because they were just left over 87's.

Yep. 1987 was the last year they were built, but some of the 87's carried over as 88's.

Last I saw 1200 in 1987, 800 in 1988.

Well welll well, There are very few things in this world better than being able to say I was right to your spouse. Of course she is not going to let me savor my triumph peacefully. As she is currently sitting at the dinner table heckling me, and threating to get on this web site and and tell everyone a bunch of lies about me. I don't think I can take much more of her rambling's without laughing at her uncontrolablly.

My friend has an 87 T-Top GT. Nothing quite like it from the inside though. Very cool. Just don't drive when it's raining/through carwash. LOL
