Default 1.75" headers or not??

heres the deal my buddy has some 1.75" headers they are MAC's and a matching H-Pipe. I was thinking of buying these to go on my car with the hopes of getting me some 2.5" tailpipes also.. see my headers now are 1.625" BUT they are old and have the old slip collector and the h pipe is rusted out and stressed causing leaks!! anyways do you guys think that these new exhaust parts will hender my HP, or torque.. and if so how much.. also ONE DAY i plan on getting my heads ported and a Holley Systemax II intake.. Remember I have 4.10's so lowend drivablity shouldnt be an issue.... He has this along with ONE CHAMBER TURNDOWNS on a stock motor with an E-303 thats all and 3.73's

the bigger exhaust will decrease your torque quite a bit. When I went from my stock headers to my 1 5/8" MAC headers, it was a pretty bug difference in the two. BUT... since you are getting heads and alreay have 4.10's I don't think that it will hurt too much. I would go ahead and get them it is was me.
