Default What's a cool coputer game I could get for christmas

Ok, my g/f is gonna get me a PC game for Christmas and she wants to know which one I want. What are some good games. I like automotive ones and shooter with some stratigey(like Metal Gear Solid and games that are simulations of stuff like WWII, exc.). I already have Motor City USA, Midtown Maddness 2, and Halflife so they are out. Which games do you guys like? I think BigWhiteCobra was talkin about a game that simulated WWII and you could be a sniper and stuff, what game was that?

Oh...okay well my boyfriend and I really enjoy war and strategy games, so far we really like Commandos and he's in love with Delta Force 1 and 2.

I myself really like Delta Force 2, graphics are really nice, plus you have the option of playing co-op games online with other people who have the game, too. Oh and did I mention that Delta Force two, also allows you to build your own missions, its really cool. My boyfriend is working on building one right now, its gonna look kick a$$ when he's done. Anyway those are my recommendations, others games we have are Starwars Pod Racer, Soldier of Fortune, and I'm thinking of buying the Simms, just to check it out. Let us know whatcha you get.

Red Alert 2 is an awesome war stratagy game if you like looking over the battlefield and tellin units what to do like in starcraft, age of empires etc. the Sims is a very fun game that you will catch yourself playing for longer than you thought.

tireburner,

That's easy.

If you want one solid game, (very good graphics, gameplay, decent price, new effects) then just get Max Payne. You won't regret it (I sound kinda like a commercial). If you don't have it yet, trust me, you'll love it. Do a search on the www for it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think bigwhitecobra may have been referring to Day of Defeat, a HL add-on.

The one I've been impressed with most recently was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Max Payne is also really good. However I'm still stuck on good 'ol Tribes.

Check them out and decide for yourself, click on the game and download the demo.

Cool games

MAX PAYNE DEFINITLY!! i solved it already. Tribes 2 kicks, and NFS4 High Stakes. i know that isnt a new one, but it very cool! oh and RUNE is an EXCELLENT GAME! though a little old, Soul Reaver1. HItman and Black and White!! if you want to know more and see what these games look like, use a search engine and look for screenshots. for most of these games, your gunna have to have a good video card. Max Payne is pretty intense!

That was me talking about Day of Defeat a while back. Its free, you can download it off the internet. I personally love it. But then again WWII is an area of intrest to me.

I'd say Return to Castle Wolfenstien, but thats me.

Question

Hmmmm, I checked out the page for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and it looks pretty good.

How would you compare it to HL and Max Payne (gameplay, graphics, etc)?

If you like RPGs, you may want to get Morrowind. It's going to be released for X-Box and PC in early Spring 2002.

Supposed to be one of the best, most anticipated RPGs ever. I'm definately getting it.

I guess you're looking for a Christmas time game - so I guess you can ignore this since it won't be out until Spring.

Take care,
E

Cool

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Quake II or III.
There is a free DDAY version for the Quake II engine. That is a cool game. You can be a medic, sniper, officer, heavy machine gunner, etc. It is a point and shoot game for the most part. A lot of fun on Gamespy.

You can pick up Quake II for $10 new. The upgrade is free on the net.

I would suggest a cable or dsl modem with any multi-player game.

Default games

I have NHRA drag racing 2 which works good single player, but I have never been able to play it online. When I first got it the website was still under construction then when they got it up it still had a lot of bugs, I haven't tried it in a couple months. Delta Force Land Warrior is the game I spend alot of time on. We have a program called roger wilco that lets us talk to each other while we play it. So me and my friends can talk to each other and no one can hear us. I heard that half-life was the most played game on the internet. GT3 on playstation 2 is suppose to be the best driving game, but i am not buying a PS2.
