Default Computer Question

Can anyone tell me if the main computer in the 94/95 Mustang GT 5.0 is a 60 pin or a 104 pin?

Find out whether or not it's an EEC-4 or EEC-5 system. EEC-4 has the 60 pin and EEC-5 has the 104 pin. The mid 90's unfortunately for you is when they changed everything over to EEC-5.

One easy way to tell though is this:
A 60 pin will usually have a diagnostic tool connector in the engine compartment usually on the sides (i think on mustangs it was the driver's side). The connector will have a rectangle protective shell, sometimes ford was even smart and colored it red. And inside the cover will be one seperate wire to a connector and another one that has a flat edge on one side and 4 edges on the other (very much doesn't look like a rectangle).

A 104 pin will have a diagnostic connector right under the dash and i think in mustangs it's secured facing down right next to your right leg next to the center console under the dash. Hopefully anyone who used this was kind enough to put the connector's cover back on, but if not it's a square connector that obviously doesn't connect to anything on the car.

I hope this helped. Good luck. Maybe someone on here with an '94 or '95 can outright tell you.
