Question starting engine

i have rebuilt my motor now it won't start. i have a white spark at #1 spark plug,,,shouldn't it be blue. got gas coming in carb, checked timing and it is correct,,,any words of wisdom out there?i have a 66 stang with a 302 v8, edelbrock intake and carb, tri-y headers and crane cam.
