![]() I got my new computer yesterday and took advantage of "Tax free week". It's a Sony Vaio with 512MB DDR,1.8GH processor(Pentium 4), 80gig hard drive, 17in flatscreen Trinitron monitor and a Canon S300 printer.
It came witha crappy video card(TNT something) but I bought a Geforce 3 card that I have to install yet. It has DVD and CD-R drive also. It's pretty nice. I like it. Has anyone heard any good/bad reports about the Vaio?

![]() Sounds sweet.
No specific info on the Sony Vaio computer series but frankly, when these computer questions come up here I've noticed most people swear that whatever they have is the best and usually say that everything else sucks. Human nature at work. I would guess that all computers (using many of the same internals) are similar but each brand will have quirks or some weak points, somewhere. Generally, Sony is a respected name in electronics and your new computer is probably a good one, but again, nothing is perfect in every way so expect a glitch here and there, but otherwise, just enjoy it. |

![]() Sweet!!!
That sounds like it's gonna fly! Make sure ya get DSL or Cable to compliment that speed! I remember when I got mine, I was the fast kid on the block! 750mhz pent III, 384 megs ram, and 20 gig drive. I was the shiznit! I can't wait to upgrade! I had to reformat my new winxp installation the other night. My damn keyboard and mouse locked everytime I started windows, and would not work, even in safe mode! So here I am again, up late redoing everything, AGAIN well, enjoy it!! Have fun!
