Unhappy Pennzoil Quick Lube Job!

Yesterday I got a Oil Change at this place.I got home let the oil settle and checked the level. Hmmm? Looks about 1qt above Max.

Now I got the car sitting in the garage and I am going to drain some out. This turned out to be a P.I.A.
Don't think they will see me again! So watch these "Clowns" and there "Fill'er Up" Tactic's!!!

Default

There was a lengthy discussion about this here before, but what they told me at the oil change place and at the dealership is that the 2000 takes 6 quarts with a filter change. Mine reads a quart over with 6 quarts in it also. It's hard to believe they can't make a dipstick the right length???

Question What?

Well sorry I missed that but read this;

<We've seen this "low oil" light do more harm than good in brand new Mustangs, so please don't overfill your stang with oil ! Or you'll be burning oil for sure. In your new 4.6L Mustang always check the oil using the dipstick on a known flat level surface, pretend the "low oil" light does not exist. It's amazing how many people put oil in their stangs only because of this light and overfill their stangs (turning them into oil burners prematurely). We've seen many veteran Stang enthusiasts fall victim to this also. The dipstick and your oil pressure gauge are the only places you should be looking for oil conditions. You want to check to make sure your oil pressure is not too low while driving also>.

I don't like the sound of this!Before the oil change the level was just below MAX. Over fill is as bad as under fill!I am going by the Dip Stick!

Question OEM Oil Filter Size?

The Pennzoil oil filter looks like it could barely hold a ½ qt.
If the OEM filter is larger(which it probaly is)that would make up the difference for the over MAX on the dip stick. Yes or No?
Also in the "Old Days" we would swap out a larger filter for the small OEM recommened one just for the sake of getting more oil up into the engine at WOT!
