![]() The steering linkage was binding up pretty bad when turning almost to the point where it almost feels locked. We just replaced the steering rack - as the seals were bad - and powersteering fluid was leaking. After we removed it and put a new one on, most of the binding cleared up but we've still got a little bit.
Anyone on this BBS a front-end guy? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanx in advance |

![]() My car did the same thing. I had my buddy at a front end shop fix it. I'll call him and find out what it exactly was. Check the site tonight......

![]() A friend of mine changed one of the high pressure power steering hoses on his '89 Prelude. After replacing it the steering would get really tight for a split second while turning. He was told to fill the pump with fluid and do a bunch of lock to lock turns to get the air bubbles out. After doing that a bunch of times the steering became much smoother.
Sounds like you might have the same problem. Good luck, Rich D. |

![]() Does this mean I owe you a 6 pack of brew?
Thanx for the help guys - we'll check this out ASAP. This project car that my son and I are working on is coming along good. We've got most of the little nagging mechanical problems out of the way and when we do, we'll start looking at other mods, clean-up, and new paint job. |
