Default Bad luck with motors

Well just recently I swapped out my original stock roller rockers for some new ford motorsport roller rockers and one of the rockers came apart and put a hole in the top of the block and ruined the cam and motor. The lobe pushed the roller through the top of the motor.

So it looks like I will be rebuilding the motor.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about the rocker failing?

The bad part is I still have not been able to get it to the track for some real times.
When it went out I was just driving home to get ready to go to the track and it started making a ticking noise then it just quit.
At first I thought the cam pin was the only thing broke but when I pulled the intake there was a big whole with part of a lifter sticking out of it.

This sucks.
