Default Question about cams

i need your help again guys,
i am thinking on getting a cam well i am getting one but dont know which one? i have a dallas mustang catalog and..well here
my engine is stock as for pistons heads springs.....

idle qualty- pwr range- duration- lift- price

good 1500-5000 284/284 488/488 89.95

ok ok this cam is from lunati and my friend was telling me its not a good cam as it will mess up and stuff and to get a ford racing cam or edelbrock but the price is perfect
is all the specs on this cam good for my engine?????????
there are other cams in the catalog but diff. specs not much of a diff. but a little but the price is a little higher also
are the specs good?
is the cam a good one??
or should i get another one?
