Try checking the timing, and TPS setting first. Then you could always adjust the idle a tad. What kind of mods is there anyway?

Did he just put the intake and heads on, or is there a new throttle body? Just adjust the screw on the throttle quadrant.

Default Idle too high...

I would guess the TPS sensor as well. The idle screw is really not for adjusting your idle, but that is another topic. Make sure that your TPS voltage is within range and make sure you don't have any leaks around the gasket area of the throttle body or EGR spacer. You can reset your idle screw to make sure that it is at the factory setting, but setting the actual idle there will not cure your problems. Make sure to reset your computer if your make any changes. Good luck.
