do high volume oil pumps promote leakage??
3000 miles on my motor and the front seal is starting to leak..
I always thought they pump'd a higher volume but not necessarily a higher pressure.. guess i have another unscheduled winter project..

I have a 306 in my 90 Lx and was told by my local mustang shop not to put in a high volume pump. It is unnecessary on the street and it costs Horsepower. It is possible that your front seal is just going bad prematurely. I don't think the pump would cause that problem.
