Question 1981 Notch with T Tops?

I was flipping through some of my Mustang books the other day, and one of them had several pics of the 1981 lineup...and they showed a T Top notch

I had no idea that option was EVER available on coupes...has anyone ever seen one? I've also never come across any of the early 80s 4.2Ls...I guess no one felt like hangin' on to them?

Belle. i have flipped through other Mustang books and they had picture of Stang i havent seen. from what i gather, it was a Ford concept or a Canadian model. the early Fox's in Canada had side emblems for the engine displacement. i am not talking about "5.0", but "2.3" on the side. i havent seen one, but i hear they do funky stuff down in Mexico too!

Below is a pic from page 19 of The Official Ford Mustang 5.0 Technical Reference & Performance Handbook. They went on to mention that T-Tops were a $916 option.

Take care,

It looks a bit odd doesn't it...probably bc I'm so used to seeing hatches with t bar roofs only

So where do I find one

Belle: They are Eagle rims. They have them in Summit for $97/each. Mine will be replaced with Welds eventually. There's just something about draglites and a black Mustang. At least to me anyway.

i actually have seen a notch t-top ........there extremly rare but there are still a few out there .........

i like the t-top foxes .....but only on a hatch.......on a hatch they seem to fit better looks wise .....the notch t's look kinda odd

there's a guy i know not far from me has one(notch t-top) hidden in a barn ......he knows what it is so he's not willing to part with it .....i think it is a 79 ghia fox ,has a strait 6 in it .....so i think they were available for several years
