Mufflers
I gotta get the Bullet mufflers of my car..and run something else. It's causing permanent hearing damage.lol Thinking maybe 1 chamber flows..but what's the biggest size you can get. I need at least a 5" for the car to let it flow. 4" chokes it too much..trust me i know. Maybe the borla XR1's?? how do they sound? thanks guys.

I think you could stay away from flows. The Flowmaster 40s are the most common muffler people buy. I like the Borla muffler, I hear they have a nice throaty growl.

I'm leaning towards the Borla XR1's right now. I heard they have a pretty good sound..Of course i'm not really worried about the sound of it. As long as it's FAST. Besides a 1700hp motor isn't gonna be too quiet anyways

On the Sprint car, we're using these new mufflers from a company called Extreme Technologies, and they are incredible. I'll see if I can find some info for you.
Take care, ~Chris

That's what sponsors are for!
Actually, these mufflers are insane. They look like a box with a 4" hole straight through. A chick could put her arm through it. I don't understand how they work, but they do. Kinda like glasspacks, I guess, but they aren't at all. No fiberglass, and they do reduce the noise. We had to get them because of a new state law that requires us to be below 92 decibles at 100 feet, or something like that, and so we had to junk the Borlas. We now have more power, and it's quieter. Take care, ~Chris

Those do sound like killer mufflers. Yeah, i was just jokin about the price. My sponsor already bought me some new tires. hehe You better watch using the word "Chick" though. You'll have the women's actavist rights union stirring again. God knows we don't need a bunch of hens like that clucking down our throats.
