Tires and Trans?
I have 2 questions. 1.My trans grinds going into 5th if I shift above 2000rpms is my trans going out, the clutch is about 1 1/2 years old fordmotorsport. 2.I have 245 50 16 tires on my car and the front tires rub when I turn to sharp or hit a bump while I'm turning. If I put 245 45 16 on would I have the same problem?..What size tires does most people run there mustangs? mine is a 90GT, Thanks of any help.

If you have pony wheels (the 16"x7.5"), 245s aren't doing you any additional good anyhow. They're too wide for the wheel and the sidewalls can flex in turns. The biggest I'd for for a 7.5" wide wheel is a 235. I've got 245s on 7.5" wheels now and it's a bit sloppier than my old tires which were 235s and they rub a lot more in turns.
